Why not just use the free FAA study guide?
It's free and good (FAA Remote Pilot Study Guide). What it doesn't give you: timed exams weighted like the real test, a report of the exact topics you'd miss, and explanations for every question. That's what the $69 is for.
Is this the FAA test itself?
No. The FAA knowledge test is taken in person at a testing center run by PSI, the company that administers FAA knowledge tests. Part 107 Pass prepares you for it. Rotate Pilot is not affiliated with the FAA or PSI.
How much is the FAA test, and how do I book it?
About $175, paid to the testing center. First you get a free FAA Tracking Number (FTN) by creating an account in IACRA, the FAA's online application system; then you book the test with PSI.
How long do I need?
Most people need 15–20 focused hours over one to three weeks. Take a full practice exam first: the report tells you what to skip.
My test is in 3 days. Is it worth it?
Yes, if you use it the short way: go straight to full practice exams and fix the exact topics you miss. Skip lessons on what you already get right.
What exactly does the guarantee require?

Is there an oral exam?
No. Part 107 is a written, multiple-choice test. "Explain it back" is a study method: put an answer in your own words and the AI tutor tells you what you missed.
Do I need to renew?
Your certificate doesn't expire, but you must complete the FAA's free online recurrent training every 24 months (14 CFR 107.65).
