The FAA Private Pilot Certificate allows you to fly single-engine aircraft for personal use throughout the United States. It is the most common starting point for aspiring pilots in the US, with a relatively flexible training structure that accommodates both full-time and part-time students.

Requisitos

  • Minimum age: 17 years old (solo at 16)
  • Class 3 medical certificate or BasicMed
  • 40 hours minimum flight time (national average 60-70 hours)
  • 20 hours dual instruction
  • 10 hours solo flight including 5 hours cross-country
  • 3 hours night flying with 10 night takeoffs and landings
  • 3 hours instrument training
  • Pass FAA Knowledge Test (70% minimum)
  • Pass practical test (checkride) with DPE
