Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum(RVSM)

Definition

The reduction of vertical separation from 2000 to 1000 feet between FL290 and FL410. Requires specially certified aircraft with accurate altimetry and autopilot. Increases airspace capacity at cruise altitudes.
