Overzicht
The EASA ATPL is the highest pilot license in Europe. Unlike the FAA, EASA uses a 'frozen ATPL' concept — pilots pass all 13 theory exams early in training, and the ATPL 'unfreezes' when experience requirements are met. This is the standard path to an airline captain position in Europe.
