Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System(EGPWS)

Definition

An advanced GPWS using a worldwide terrain database and GPS position to provide predictive terrain warnings. EGPWS can alert pilots to terrain conflicts well before the aircraft reaches dangerous proximity.
