The Oral Pass Guarantee

Complete 3 full mock orals in the simulator, each scoring 80 or higher, within the 14 days before your checkride (the checkride day itself counts).

That's it. There is no minimum number of hours, and no other homework.

• A session started with Start a full mock oral, with all 12 examiner questions answered and the session finished (you see your score at the end).
• The score is the session's Readiness Index, calculated on our server from your graded answers. It is the number shown next to the session in your History.
• The Airspace & Airworthiness drill (8 questions) is great practice but does not count toward the guarantee. Neither does a mock left unfinished.
• Mocks can be on the same day or different days, and on any device.

The window is the 14 days before the date of your checkride — the date on your notice of disapproval. Example: checkride on October 20 → mocks completed from October 6 through October 20 count.

Your simulator access lasts 30 days from purchase. If your checkride is later than that, write to hello@rotatepilot.com before your access ends and we'll line your access up with your checkride date so the window fits.

You received a notice of disapproval (FAA Form 8060-5) from your Private Pilot practical test, and the disapproval includes knowledge (oral) elements. A checkride discontinued for weather, a mechanical issue or other reasons that aren't a disapproval doesn't count — you haven't been tested yet.

1. Email hello@rotatepilot.com from the address you bought with (or tell us which address it was).
2. Attach a photo or scan of your notice of disapproval. You can cover your certificate number and address.
3. We check the checkride date against your recorded mock orals. You don't need to send screenshots — the scores and dates are recorded on our server when each mock finishes.
4. If the condition is met, we refund 100% ($79) to your original payment method, usually within 2 business days of your email. Your bank may take 5–10 days to show it.

You keep the PPL Oral Exam Guide and your simulator access. One refund per purchase.

• Mocks marked “Saved on this device” were not recorded on our server (it happens only if the connection failed at the end of a session). Tell us in your claim and we'll look at it with you.
• The simulator is a study aid, not an FAA examiner. The AI grades against a written rubric and can make mistakes — confirm against the current FAR/AIM, the ACS and your instructor.
