Paid endorsement reviews for CFIs and AGIs: $25 each, remote

By Renzo Madueño, former Airbus A320 First Officer (Avianca), FAA commercial pilot ·
Rotate Pilot is adding the 61.35(a)(1) knowledge-test endorsement to its Private Pilot course, the way the big home-study schools do it. We would rather pay instructors properly than pretend a website can sign. We are looking for two instructors to start. Apply below.

What you get, what you do

Questions instructors ask

Is a home-study endorsement legal?

Yes. 14 CFR 61.35(a)(1) accepts a logbook endorsement from an authorized instructor who certifies the applicant completed a home-study course. AC 61-65 (A.32) gives the wording. The instructor must have reviewed the course and the applicant's work; that review is what we pay for. Sporty's, King Schools and Gold Seal issue their endorsements the same way.

What exactly do I review?

The complete record of one student: lessons completed with dates, every mock exam attempt with its score and weak areas, the course syllabus and sources, and the student's legal name and FTN as they appear in IACRA. If anything looks off you can ask the student questions by email or require a short call before signing.

Who issues the endorsement document?

You do. We generate the A.32 endorsement PDF with your name, certificate number and expiration from the data you give us; you sign it electronically, and you keep a copy for the 3-year record requirement in 61.189(b). The student presents it at the PSI center.

What am I paid and when?

$25 per review, whether you sign or decline with a written reason, paid weekly by ACH or PayPal. You set your own weekly cap and can pause any time. At the start, expect a few students a week, not dozens.

What is the student required to do before reaching me?

Finish 100% of the Private Pilot course lessons and score 80% or higher on two full 60-question simulations with the same area weights as the FAA PAR test. Students who have not done that cannot request an endorsement, so you are not asked to review incomplete records.

Does this put my certificate at risk?

The decision stays yours on every record, and declining pays the same as signing. We ask for no flight time, no ground sessions and no pressure to approve. If you think the standard should be stricter for a given student, say so and we ask the student to meet it.
