Slip
Definition
An uncoordinated flight condition where the aircraft moves sideways toward the inside of a turn or toward the lowered wing. A forward slip is intentionally used to increase descent rate without gaining airspeed.

Understanding Slip is critical for passing the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test and performing safely in flight.
