Pick the one that matches how you learn
- You want to practice the new image questions on crops of the current sectionals, the charts the test shows since Oct 26, 2026, not on recreated ones.
- You want a guarantee that pays real money if it fails: $69 back + $175 for the retest, with conditions you can actually meet. Fly107Prep publishes none.
- You want timed practice exams weighted by topic like the current FAA test (Regulations 48%, Operations 25%) and an AI tutor included at the one-time price.
- You also plan to do paid drone work: the Drone Business Kit is included.
- You want a narrated course plus a question bank for less: $39.99 once is cheaper than the Pass.
- You prefer a native iOS app with the questions and flash cards on your phone.
- You'd rather pay month to month ($14.99, or $19.99 with the AI tutor) and cancel when you pass.
- You understand there is no pass guarantee, only a 7-day refund, and you're fine with that.
The honest take
Fly107Prep is a reasonable mid-price option: $39.99 once buys 800 questions, a 22-lesson narrated course, a timed exam mode and a chart trainer, with monthly plans at $14.99 and $19.99. We read its home page, pricing section and FAQ ourselves in November 2026; the facts here come from those pages, not from forum comments.
The difference that matters since Oct 26, 2026 is where the chart questions come from. The FAA now shows image questions that are not in the testing supplement. Fly107Prep's FAQ says its practice uses "recreated charts". Rotate's chart practice uses crops of the current FAA sectionals, 14 questions free with no account, and keeps a public library of 62 FAA figures with the questions that cite each one. Two people who passed in the days after the change told us the chart items were easier than their practice tests; that is what practicing on the real excerpts is for.
The guarantees are not the same thing. Fly107Prep offers a 7-day money-back refund and publishes no pass guarantee. Rotate's has conditions (finish the course and score 85%+ on 3 full practice exams in the 30 days before your test), but if you still fail on the first attempt it pays your $69 back plus the $175 FAA fee.
The FAA test fee is about $175 either way. In 2025 about 1 in 6 Part 107 knowledge test attempts failed (FAA data: 82.96% passed), and a retake means another fee and a 14-day wait. If you're unsure which you need, do the 14 free chart questions first: if they're easy, a cheaper bank with a course may be enough; if not, the Pass teaches the rest and backs it.
If what you want is the chart practice and nothing else, there is a middle option since October 30, 2026: the Part 107 Charts Pack at $19 once, 34 questions on crops of the current sectionals with explanations and FAA sources, no course and no guarantee (rotatepilot.com/part-107/charts-pack). It costs half of Fly107Prep Lifetime and practises the charts the test now uses.

Does Fly107Prep practice the new image questions on current sectionals?▾

How does Rotate's pass guarantee work?▾
Finish the course and score 85% or higher on 3 full-length simulations within the 30 days before your FAA test. If you still don't pass on your first attempt, send us your test report within 30 days and we refund 100% of what you paid and send you $175 toward your retest. Separately, there's a 30-day refund, no questions asked, as long as you haven't finished the course. The full terms are at rotatepilot.com/part-107/guarantee.
Is Rotate worth $69 when Fly107Prep is $39.99?▾
Only if you want the real chart excerpts and the guarantee. The Part 107 Pass adds chart practice on the current sectionals, timed practice exams weighted like the FAA test, the Drone Business Kit and a guarantee that pays $69 + $175. A failed FAA attempt costs about $175 and a 14-day wait, more than the price difference.
