easyJet Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme (MPL, with CAE)
Read this before anything else
This is not a sponsored programme. You pay €115,000 and the money is the real gate — easyJet's name on it changes who employs you at the end, not who pays. The second gate is paperwork: an unrestricted right to live and work in the UK and Europe, which no amount of aptitude gets around.
Cost to you
€115,000 paid by the cadet — easyJet does not fund the training
Current statusreported
Open — applications listed as open on CAE's programme page; no intake dates published there
The hard gates
Fail one of these and nothing else matters. Check them before you spend anything.
Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK and Europe
Aged 18 or over by the course start date; no published upper limit
High school / secondary certificates passing Maths, English and any Science, plus two other subjects
Fluent English, spoken and written
Able to obtain a Class 1 medical; minimum height 157 cm (5 ft 2 in), maximum set by Airbus flight-deck reach
€115,000 course fee is the cadet's own cost — there is no airline sponsorship
How selection actually runs
Online application, screened by the CAE assessment team
ADAPT test, virtual or in person — computer-based aptitude, academics, reasoning and multi-tasking
Group activity and personal interview, run jointly by CAE and easyJet
Assessment is free of charge — unusual, and worth knowing before you pay anyone for 'preparation'
The training
Classroom to flight deck in under 24 months, roughly 1,200+ hours across four phases
Brussels, Madrid or London Gatwick
Milan and London Gatwick, on CAE A320 flight training devices and full-flight simulators
MPL — a Multi-Crew Pilot Licence, tied to airline operations rather than a standalone CPL
What happens afterwards
Base and line training with easyJet, then joining as a co-pilot on the Airbus A320
A conditional letter of employment is issued before training begins — the single strongest feature of this programme
No training bond or repayment clause is published on the programme page
The money
Ground, simulator and flight training, manuals, ATPL theory exams, Advanced UPRT, VAT, uniform, flight bag, resits and remedial training, travel to the fair-weather flying base, and accommodation during easyJet base and line training
Class 1 medical, medical insurance, accommodation during CAE training, meals, an iPad, and other travel — budget for these on top of the €115,000
CAE links to a funding page; no specific loan product is named on the programme page
How competitive it is
No acceptance rate is published
CAE and easyJet announced an agreement to train more than 1,000 easyJet pilots, and extended the partnership — a programme running at volume rather than a token intake
None — the programme is designed for candidates with no previous flying
The part you can actually train
Nationality and age are fixed. The aptitude battery, the group exercise and the competency interview are not — and that is where most candidates are lost, including strong ones. Our aptitude papers are generated fresh every run, and the divided-attention drill measures the thing capacity tests are actually built to find.
