Full Review
The Honeycomb Alpha changed home simulator hardware when it launched. Before the Alpha, consumer yokes were plastic toys that flexed under hand pressure and broke after a year. The Alpha brought genuine metal construction, smooth bearing-based tension, and switches that actually map to real Cessna 172 functionality.
The ignition switch is the standout detail — five positions (off, R, L, both, start) wired exactly like a real aircraft. The master battery and avionics switches feel mechanical and correct. The integrated trim wheel works as a real trim input in both MSFS and X-Plane without configuration.
Pair the Alpha with the Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant and you have a sub-$700 home cockpit that feels closer to the real thing than anything else in the consumer market. For student pilots wanting to practice procedures at home, this is the right yoke — full stop.
Our Verdict
The yoke that actually feels like a Cessna yoke. Genuine metal construction, smooth tension, and the best ignition switch in the category. Buy this one.
