Do not buy a drone from a spec sheet alone. For early commercial pilots, the real question is whether the aircraft makes you more likely to practice safely, get client shots reliably, and stay compliant.
The guarded prop design makes the Flip less intimidating than a bare-rotor Mini when you are still building stick confidence. It is not a replacement for good judgment, but it lowers the friction for practice, client demos, and quick scouting shots.
For short listing videos, vertical reels, and quick orbit shots around a property, the Flip gives you DJI image quality without carrying a larger platform. For luxury listings or paid cinematic deliverables, a Mini 4 Pro, Air 3, or Mavic-class drone still gives you more headroom.
