Part 107 Cheat Sheet: every number the test asks

The limits, distances and deadlines the FAA Remote Pilot knowledge test keeps coming back to, each with the rule it comes from in 14 CFR. It's for studying: you can't take notes into the test — the testing center gives you the official supplement booklet with the charts and figures.
The test in one line
60 questions, 3 answer choices each, 2 hours, 70% to pass (42 of 60), $175 at a PSI testing center. Fail and you wait 14 days to retest (§107.71). Minimum age 14 to sit the test, 16 to hold the certificate (§107.61).

Many guides still quote the older split (Operations 35-45%, Regulations 15-25%). Regulations is now almost half the test.

Airspace at a glance
Typical dimensions (AIM chapter 3); the sectional shows the exact numbers for each airport. Controlled airspace needs authorization before you fly (§107.41).

- Class CAuthorization required
Surface to 4,000 ft above the airport within 5 NM; shelf from 1,200 to 4,000 ft out to 10 NM.

Surface to 2,500 ft above the airport, towered field (dashed blue on the sectional).

Starts at the surface around some non-towered airports (dashed magenta).

Operating rules in one line each
- Keep the drone in visual line of sight (you or a visual observer).§107.31
